4th edition.

On January 1, 1878, the zemstvo post of Zenkov Uyezd (Poltava Governorate) was opened. Mail was dispatched from the uyezd center, the town of Zenkov, to the uyezd in three directions twice a week. Delivery of private correspondence was paid for with zemstvo postage stamps of 1, 2, and 3 kopecks. The designs of most stamps were composed of typographic typesetting characters. They were printed in private printing houses in Poltava. Some stamps bear the image of the uyezd coat of arms. From 1901, the stamps were also printed at EZGB. The stamps were cancelled in ink (by crossing out, by adding the date, the surname of the zemstvo employee, or the name of the locality).
