Issue 2.

The Medyansk writing-paper mill was founded on the Medyanka River in Vyatka Uyezd by the collegiate assessor’s widow P.S. Bedareva under an order of the Vyatka Treasury Chamber dated April 3, 1785.

In 1791 it was sold to the widow of the merchant S. Mashkovtsev, E.T. Mashkovtseva.

In 1868 it passed into the hands of the capitalist I.A. Pervushin.

On October 21, 1918, sequestration was imposed by a resolution of the Vyatka Provincial Council of National Economy. It was nationalized on the basis of the SNK Decree of July 2, 1918.

From 1918 to January 1, 1938 — Medyansk writing-paper mill “Red Cadet” of the Provincial Council of National Economy, village of Medyany, Kirov Region.

From January 1, 1938 to January 1, 1941 — Medyansk writing-paper mill “Red Cadet” of the People’s Commissariat of the Timber Industry of the RSFSR, settlement of Murygino, Kirov Region.

The scrip notes were issued in limited quantities and circulated for only a few months, after which they were withdrawn from circulation and canceled.
