A fantasy issue of Turkestan. The stamps appeared on sale in 1920, allegedly issued by Baron Ungern-Sternberg before his army retreated from Eastern Turkestan to Mongolia. The issue includes 20 stamps with overprints on imperforate 1- and 2-kopeck stamps of the Russian Empire. The stamps are clearly of foreign manufacture, since in the word "RUB" (denominations of 5 and 10 rubles) the letter "B" is replaced by a soft sign ("Π¬").

According to the catalog by M. A. Kramarenko: a fantasy issue, Kokand Autonomy, General I. M. Zaitsev. An unrecognized state that existed from 27 November 1917 to 22 February 1918 on the territory of the Turkestan Governor-Generalship.
