Fantastical issue of Turkestan. The stamps appeared for sale in 1920, as allegedly issued by Baron Ungern-Sternberg before his army retreated from Eastern Turkestan to Mongolia. The issue comprises 20 stamps with overprints on imperforate 1- and 2-kopeck stamps of the Russian Empire. The stamps are clearly of foreign manufacture, since in the word "RUB" (denominations of 5 and 10 rubles) a soft sign ("Π¬") is printed instead of the letter "B".
