The People’s Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs of the USSR (NKPT, NKPiT, Narkompostel of the USSR) was the USSR’s postal and telegraph authority from 1923 to 1932, holding the status of a central government administration body and established to organize and operate various types of communications, including postal services.

In the USSR, a tax to support the development of radio broadcasting was applied when selling radio-technical goods; in Lithuania, it was applied when registering personal-use radio receivers.
