In 1895, passport stamps were issued.
The issue stamps remained in circulation until 1918. They were reprinted many times and are known in numerous shades of the main color and background, as well as on paper of varying thickness.
The printing technology for the issue provided for the imprinting of the denomination numerals into the already prepared design of the stamp. As a result, stamps are encountered with shifted numerals and with differences in the shade of their ink relative to the main design.
