The Mutual Credit Society of Sales Clerks in the city of Kharkov had the following aims:
1) To provide its members with the opportunity to invest their savings profitably and to obtain the funds they need as loans.
2) To provide needy members with one-time and regular assistance, and likewise to support the widows and orphans of its members.
