November 15 - Uzbekistan introduced a transitional national currency – the soʻm-coupon . Until then, the Soviet ruble continued to circulate in the country . The soʻm-coupon existed for 9.5 months and served as a temporary means of payment until the full-fledged soʻm was introduced on July 1, 1994.
