A philatelic exhibition is a temporary public display of philatelic collections of postage stamps and other philatelic materials and literature. Philatelic exhibitions are an integral element in the development of contacts and creative competition among philatelists and clearly reflect the development of philately. To award the best exhibits at philatelic exhibitions, medals, plaques, diplomas, honorary certificates, and the like are used.
