Tokens commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Moscow Mint, with a mintage of 500 pieces, were produced on a “1 kopek” planchet of the 1961–1991 type and feature coin elements—the wreath and reeded edge—exactly as on the coin. The weight and alloy match those of the 1 kopek coin. In all parameters (metal, size, weight, edge reeding), they correspond to the regular-issue 1961-type kopek.
