The "Ardatov type" stamp is a philatelic name for the fifth design type used by EZGB for the issuance of zemstvo postage stamps starting in 1902. According to published sources, the name was assigned after Ardatovsky Uyezd, for whose stamp printing it was first employed. 2nd edition.

In 1892, the zemstvo post of Pudozhsky Uyezd (Olonets Governorate) was opened. Mail from the uyezd center, the town of Pudozh, was sent once a week to settlements in the northern and eastern parts of the uyezd. Delivery of all correspondence was free of charge.

From January 1, 1903, a fee was introduced for the delivery of private correspondence, and zemstvo postage stamps were introduced, printed by EZGB. They depict the gubernial and uyezd coats of arms. The stamps had denominations of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, and 25 kopeks.

The last issue was in 1916. They were canceled with ink (by crossing out) and with postmarks bearing the name of the place where the correspondence was accepted.
