In 1947, the Russian and Soviet animal painter Alexey Nikanorovich Komarov created the painting “Bear in the Forests of Bashkiria” commissioned by A.F. Kots. The painting is exhibited at the Darwin Museum. For the 1961 issue of the postage stamp series “Fauna of the USSR”, A.N. Komarov redrew his 1947 painting in a mirrored image, preserving the main сюжет.
In 1969, the Sovetsky Khudozhnik publishing house released a 145×100 cm postcard featuring a reproduction of A.N. Komarov’s 1947 painting.
