A philatelic exhibition is a temporary public display of philatelic collections of postage stamps and other philatelic materials and literature. Philatelic exhibitions are an integral element in the development of contacts and creative competition among philatelists and clearly reflect the development of philately. To reward the best exhibits at philatelic exhibitions, medals, plaques, diplomas, certificates of honor, etc. are used.
The souvenir sheet depicts a stamp with a face value of 1 kopek, issued on September 24, 1970, from the series "Pioneers of the Soviet Country." This stamp shows: the Pioneer badge and the ribbon of the Order of Lenin, with which the All-Union Pioneer Organization was awarded; Pioneers with a banner, with an open book, in the uniform of a Red Army soldier from the Civil War era and of a cosmonaut; a rising sun and a laurel branch.
